In May the Glenview Police Department will be out on the streets -- and on the railroad tracks -- working to increase pedestrian and driver safety.
Operation Lifesaver, which educates pedestrians about train track safety, will kick off on May 13 and 14 at the downtown train station. Then, on May 20 and 21, officers will create an "enforcement zone," ticketing walkers who cross the tracks illegally.
"Click it or Ticket" will take place over the Memorial Day weekend, May 24 and 25. Officers will be on the look-out for drivers who aren't wearing seat belts. So buckle up - and stay safe!
